A transformation study of an Existing Building for a completed Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant SGC Build Out.
BUFFALO WILD WINGS "Build Out"
Scott General Contracting completely transformed an existing mall space into a new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Arundel Mills, MD. The nearly 10,000 square foot space – formerly an Italian restaurant – required a complete overhaul in order to meet customer requirements.
The demolition was extensive and involved the removal of 100% of the interior including concrete platforms and 70% of the exterior in an effort to replicate the appearance of BWW’s freestanding locations. SGC employed comprehensive dust control measures to ensure the safety of nearby mall businesses and patrons. The demolition stretched over a three-week period and SGC worked overtime to finish the demo and swiftly move forward with the conversion.
Completion of the project required the efficient management of complex details and a demanding deadline schedule. Exterior highlights included new concrete curbs, sidewalks, handicap ramps, a custom LED lighting system, landscaping and custom railing system, exterior storefront system, and trim package utilizing Exterior Insulating Finishing System (EIFS) Stucco. Distinctive interior features include custom light fixtures, a complete millwork package and a 28’ tall interior mall barricade decorated with unique graphics. The space included the installation of 93 televisions.
Despite the unique challenges associated with this project, SGC completed the restaurant in six months, exceeding customer expectations. This restaurant is one of BWW’s top earning locations and considered one of the “gems” of their organization.
