A retail custom bed store’s success is highly dependent on a prompt opening, with no tolerance for construction delays. Sleep Number required a qualified general contractor with an experienced staff and reliable suppliers – so they hired Scott General Contracting since we have the proven ability to meet the demands of a tight schedule that allows for the speedy opening of expensive retail space.

The remodel of this Sleep Number store in Estero, FL required barricading the space due to safety concerns followed by the interior and exterior demolition. Concrete saw cutting enabled the removal and replacement of the old slab followed by the rough in of plumbing and electrical systems. Our HVAC subcontractor installed all new mechanical equipment on the roof as well as interior ductwork distribution.

The electrical sub installed a new electrical distribution system as well as pipe in wire for all interior wall, slab and ceiling rough-ins as well as all lighting and electrical components. SGC installed the metal stud framing, all drywall and finishing, doors, frames and hardware. Custom interior soffit framing and new high-strength hurricane rated storefront doors were also installed.

We then decorated the interior space with custom millwork, tightly fitted trim and an interior floor covering package including tile and carpet. To finish the project, our painting crews carefully prepared, primed, and painted the space for a finished look that reflected the quality of the contents.

Working from customer specifications and floor plans, we completed construction of this 2,700 square foot space in only seven weeks.
